Allen DePuy’s career in the golf industry spans more than four decades and reflects a blend of operational experience, strategic thinking, and transactional expertise. Known for identifying opportunity where others see challenges, DePuy has become a trusted advisor to owners, investors, and operators seeking to improve performance, reposition assets, or successfully transition golf properties.
Following his tenure with Gotham Golf Partners—where he helped lead the acquisition of more than $50 million in golf properties—DePuy launched his own consulting practice focused on helping golf clubs unlock their full potential. His work centers on acquisitions, operational turnarounds, and revenue optimization, using innovative marketing strategies, pricing models, and promotional initiatives designed to strengthen profitability and long-term sustainability.
Earlier in his career, DePuy served as Employment and Club Relations Director for the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA of America and spent five years as a property manager with Billy Casper Golf, gaining valuable firsthand experience in the day-to-day realities of golf facility operations.
Today, DePuy’s work extends across consulting, brokerage, and investment within the golf industry. He is the founder of Commonwealth Golf Group, which provides advisory services, management expertise, and investment in golf properties. He also serves as principal of RealTAuctions, an auction company specializing in the swift and strategic divestiture of real estate and personal property. His Georgia real estate license is affiliated with Hilda W. Allen Real Estate, widely regarded as the oldest niche brokerage specializing in golf properties, leisure assets, and large land tracts.
Beyond his advisory work, DePuy has remained active in golf industry media and thought leadership. He previously owned and hosted a golf industry radio program and today co-hosts and owns a nationally distributed podcast where industry veterans engage in candid conversations with the men and women shaping the game today.
A frequent speaker at Golf Inc. conferences and other industry gatherings, DePuy is known for sharing practical insights on golf operations, property valuation, and innovative revenue strategies. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Graceland University and is a licensed auctioneer specializing in accelerated sales strategies for golf and leisure properties.
